Hello Epiphany! What goes around, comes around.
I posted a video and a rant on Facebook, I’ll add it
below. My mistake but I learned
something. We are polarized and that’s something that been a done deal for a
while now. If people haven’t made up their minds where they stand on issues, they
aren’t going to.
Yes, I’ll post a few things political every once in a
while but that’s it. I get too many comments that I wonder what they are referring
to. Either it’s off topic or some sort of
weird remark or it doesn’t have any punctuation to it. I get some of word salad or a huge dissertation. Neither work well with the FB format. I get
it that people are home and have nothing to do but geez, I wish they wouldn’t
do it on my page. So instead of jumping
up and down, it’s just easier to talk in closed groups and not post things that
attract people.
So, if I find some of this irritating, I’m thinking that
people are irritated with some of my posts. The more I think about, people are just as
able as I am to read.
So the short version is that what goes around, comes around...
Rant mode on…
The people that have the power in this health crisis are the
Republicans and the trump supporters. They are the only people that will be listened
to at this point. Is this a political issue, yes. It shouldn’t be but Covid-19
has turned into a cultural war. The Reps and trumpers now own this pandemic. I
don’t condone the silence but I somewhat understand it. Covid-19 is now ground
zero. It’s turned into Indoor Voices vs Red Caps. The bottom line is that no
one is immune to risk.
Religious leaders, where are you? Just because your churches
are close currently doesn’t mean you still don’t have the power of the pulpit.
I can’t hear you or I could be listening in the wrong places. You need to speak
a bit louder so I can hear you or own it. Speaking in whispers won’t cut it
because I’ve heard you speak out against hot button issues such as abortion and
‘Christmas’. You were loud then. The term ” traditional values ” has become
synonymous with ” family values.” You are quickly losing your creds. Without
humanity and compassion, religion does not serve the masses.
Business owners…how are you going to protect your employees?
How are you going to protect your customers? Yes, actions are louder than words
and I’ve seen some of my local businesses rise to the occasion. I’ve seen my
local food banks work tirelessly to help the community. I’ve seen my Vet still
take care of her patients and still protect the people. Businesses, if you
can’t protect me, why aren’t you calling the powers that be? Why are you part
of the problem and not part of the solution? Do you still want my business
after this is over? I need to re-evaluate my buying habits and where I buy it.
I’m old enough to remember when the KKK and Nazis were
social pariahs. Science deniers and conspiracy theorists were laughed at. What
happened? Did we forget or become complacent? I do understand that staying at
home does limit communication but this has been happening for a while. What
happens to society when this is all over? How much resentment will be layered
until it’s too hard to entangle? Society is fickle…then the blame game starts
all over again.

That's it for today...Stay Safe!!!!
