Illustration Friday...painting with inks again.

It was good to get back in the studio again.  The sub-zero temps froze me out for several days.  I able to get some fundamental sketches and think about a new series; mostly about the direction I want to take for the next several weeks, maybe even months.

When I do a series, it’s a major commitment in time and energy.  That’s one of the reasons why I try to do loose, ongoing series.  This time I’m pulled to illustrate nursery rhymes and songs.  It will be a challenge to put old words into new artwork.

 

I’m off to the studio…I’m being pulled into the garden of the muses.  I want to work on sketches and maybe get a prelim drawing done today.
