I've been tagged...that's Meme Tagged by Cindy
I’ve been meme tagged by Cindy of Sweet Bead Studio. So no pictures today.
1. “What were you doing 10 years ago?”
I was living in Indianapolis, Indiana in an old historic home that my hubby and I were restoring at the time. I was a full jewelry designer and a part-timer in the medical field. I remember burning the candle at both ends and in the middle.
2. “What were you doing 1 year ago?”
Adjusting to Austin’s summer…I do live in the land of never ending summer. I was also in the process of finishing up my studio move. BTW, I’m still in that process…I’ve still got boxes of equipment that I don’t have room for.
3. “Five snacks you enjoy:”
OMG, if it isn’t beads…food is my next favorite subject and I’m limited to five answers. Oh my…here’s the list:
1) Fresh baked bread with brie and a side of grapes.
2) Cheese, my favorite being swiss, and oatmeal muffins with real butter.
3) White chocolate.
4) Dried cranberries and non-salted nuts.
5) My downfall and the extreme reason for all my extra buttage…ICE CREAM!
4. “Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:”
Well, this will tell my age. I know all the lyrics to every John Mellencamp song. http://www.mellencamp.com/. I’m also a Jeff Healey Band and Sarah McLachlan fan. My favorite tunes to sing along with are any of their CD’S.
5. “Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:”
This is a tough one because I have just about everything I need in life.
1) I think it would be a hard choice between establishing an arts and craft camp for kids…OR…establishing a nonprofit co-op for emerging artists.
2) I would also take 100K and invest it for retirement.
3) I would list more but I think I have already ran out of money. :-)
6. “Five bad habits:”
1) I don’t exercise like is should.
2) I keep odd hours.
3) I have OCD so some times I get caught up in the smallest details and not look at the big picture.
4) I smoke.
5) I pace when I’m stressed.
7. “Five things you like doing:”
1) Sitting on my back deck early in the morning with my cup of java, when it quiet and the city is just waking up.
2) Bwahahahahahahaha!!! I love Halloween! I wait every year for trick or treaters, which I miss since we moved. It’s the decorations…the pumpkins…the fall leaves; it’s everything about Halloween. It’s walking around the neighborhoods and looking at the decorations. It’s the parties, haunted houses, and COSTUMES!!!! If it was up to me, I'd replace my birthday with Halloween. Can you tell, Halloween is my favorite time of year?
3) Looking around in fabric stores.
4) Taking a nap. It’s a rare treat for me.
5) Visiting my family and friends in Indy.
8. “Five things you would never wear again:”
I will never wear plastic shoes, a bride’s maid dress, or polyester pants. With a little groaning and moaning, I will never wear tight leather pants nor halter tops. My plump butt looks good in neither.
9.Bonus question..."List five of your favorite movies or books:"
I am choosing all books because I listen to so many audio books while I work. Not to say that I don't like movies, I do but I'm going to limit myself to just five answers.
1) The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.
2) The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
3) Both Moon Called and Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs.
4) Oathbound and Oatbreakers by Mercedes Lackey.
5) The Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage.
Ok...I can't limit stay within my own limits...I can't forget:
The Harry Potter series or anything by Anne Bishop, Kim Harrison, or Kelly Armstong. Then there is Jim Butcher...I can't forget his books either.
Ok…Now you know everything you didn’t want to know about me.
I have to tag five people. Here’s my list but participation is strictly OPTIONAL. I know that I’ve been asked before and had to pass because I was just too busy at the time.
1) Sue Bleiweiss from Threads
2) Jodi Marshall
3) Knot Gypsy
4) Marcia from Brat Cat Beads
5) Sam Parcels
BTW, if you get a chance, take a look at the above blogs. They have some interesting posts and lovely pieces of work.
